2 Reasons to be Fan of Tom Cruise’s 2013 Movie Oblivion

Oblivion received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. While the film was rated high when it came to the visual experience is provided, many found the scripting to be lacking. In fact there are many who’ve seen the film, but are still trying to figure out the meaning of the ending of Oblivion because it just doesn’t make sense to them. In fact the ending has been a focus of highly involving debate in some circles. The movie may have its pros and cons, but there are a few things that stand out about it, making it a great movie to name as a favorite.

The Movie Pays Homage to Sci-Fi

Science and sci-fi fanatics can find a lot in this movie to excite and even inspire them. For those working to move mankind to new heights of scientific knowledge and technological advancement, the movie shows them a picture of what could be.

Joseph Kosinski, a director who specializes in computer graphics and computer-generated imagery, as well as the man who created an unpublished graphic novel bearing the same title as the movie, reported that Oblivion is indeed a tribute to the noteworthy sci-fi movies of the 70s. Being highly praised for its stunning visual effects, Oblivion shows audiences just what sci-fi is all about.

It Promotes World Peace

This might not be a takeaway many captured after watching the movie, but Oblivion show one reason why mankind should put away their differences. In the movie, the world had been destroyed, not by a war between nations, but by a war between the inhabitants of the Earth and extra-terrestrial scavengers.
Conflict can hinder advancements and those in the Earth would do better to combine their forces against known threats such as this than to spend time squabbling with one another.
Every Oblivion fan has their own reasons for favouring the movie. To express your own enjoyment of this great sci-fi film, consider getting an Oblivion Tom Cruise jacket.
